| 1.
We work on the premise that we
have well-qualified officials
presently employed by our industry.
We will support these people and
provide in-service opportunities
for them to enhance their professional
expertise. These people must be
aware what we view them as a very
important group and appreciate
their efforts. We also recognize
that in any organization every
individual should be afforded
the opportunity to advance himself/herself
in terms of professional development
and, as the process evolves, a
measure of accountability will
be developed and implemented.
We must accentuate the positive
and constantly emphasize that
we see this as a team effort.
We are all in this together, but
as we raise the bar for Commissioners,
we are raising it for officials.
We will not accept anything but
complete dedication and professionalism. 2. The Commission has implemented an aggressive recruitment initiative to encourage exemplary people to become involved in our training program for new officials. Introductory sessions have been held throughout the region to explain the program and receive a signed statement of commitment to participation in the ensuing training program. |
The objective of phase two is to have a
number of officials qualified and licensed
to serve in various aspects of our industry
upon completion of the program. Each trainee
involved in this process will qualify
for and write the exams for the various
roles in our system.
